Then slap on a K&N universal 3'' inlet filter. Google it. There's several online shops selling them in many varities for about $40.00. I picked mine up from advance auto for $30.
It'll def. be a little louder since you're getting rid of the air intake resonator. When you turn the car off, it'll go pshhhh swoooosh. haha.

Yep. I'm was bringing them both cars as is.
$1,300 to pull both the F22 and H22 out and then drop the H22 into the F22's place. So an engine swap plus another engine pull.
$200 for auto to manual tensioner conversion. If I'm going through the hastle, might as well get it done now.
$100 for timing belt and water pump
Auto to manual swap, which includes removing the transmission components from my vtec model, and auto components from S model and doing the conversion was quoted at 20-25 hours at $50/hr = $1,000-1,200.
the estimate could go up to 15% especially if things break, etc, or any unforeseeable things need to do be done.
Add tax etc, and was told to set aside about $3K and the swap would take about 2 weeks.
These are all from reputable shops, cheapest quote I got was ~2,000 but they had never done an auto to manual swap. The other 2 were close to the $3K range. Let's face it, unless you're doing the work yourself or find a mechanic to do the side job, most performance shops are going to quote 40 labor hours plus at $50-80/hour.
I know I could save money by removing the engines myself, but with work and school I'm too busy to do that and worry about towing a car, tranny, engine and other parts plus rental of tools etc.
