What shock??

Hey, what shock(s) do you guys think I should go with when I get springs? I'm getting either Sportlines or Neuspeed race springs. I don't wanna spend more than 200-250 on the shocks. Suggestions?

The adjustables? Yeah, those are the ones I've been considering, but aren't they like 350 bucks for 4 of them? Do you guys suggest I order them from a nearby shop or through the mail somewhere?

So both of you guys would recommend a shock that when dropped more than 1.5 shoots the warranty right out the window???

Hmmm....

Koni. Because.... I can't think of anything better that I would get besides the AGX.

ps save more money.

Yep, I love my AGXs, but I would've just saved up more cash if I were dropped lower and gotten the Koni Yellows. It's better than blowing out your AGXs every year or so.

im dropped on sportlines..and im using tkico blues..theyve been fine, almost 2 years now, still very firm, very nice ride...dont see how a 1.8 drop would hurt aftermarket shocks..peace

Not all aftermarket shocks. Just the KYB AGX. It states in the warranty info not to drop more than 1.5" I guess the AGX can't dampen properly past that. Other struts will work. Just check the suggested applications.

if your not lookin to spend much, i'd say get the tokiko blues...they're not that bad...

you're obviously not that worried about handling too much, since you don't want to save a couple hundred more and buy some koni's or better!

all i know, the way my car handles is more important to me then how it looks or how fast it is! but that's just me!

they just dont want to have to deal with people slammed blowing them out. i am sure if you are dropped 1.8 that would be fine.

Many users on this board and other boards have had problems with excessive drops on AGX shocks. They complain that after 8-10k miles the shocks become bouncy and squishy. Granted KYB might not want to deal with them but I went off of what users had said before I bought my AGX.

After 3 years of HARDCORE abuse, I'd recommend Koni Yellows any day. They have a lifetime warranty if you have the original receipt, and they rock! W/ damper adjustability & height adjustability, you can't go wrong...they are the most solid struts out there, until you get into full coilover territory.
