I know the engine is a basic requirement. But what else as far as these tid bit things are needed do be done that u wouldnt have to do with a regular motor replacement? Also as far as emissions are concerned whats the deal with JDM motors? My car is an Si going to a JDM H22 with LSd tranny if that helps.

all i needed was the engine, the JDM OBDI ECU, and 3 wires to hook up to the vtec solenoid. The first guy I went to tried to BS me and screw me out of 400 bucks by telling me I needed a wiring harness, which you do not , because 3 wires are the only difference from SI to vtec. If you have a good mechanic do the work you'll be fine. He should know what he's doin. Good luck!
