What are my odds...

I have a question. What are the odds of spinning a rod/throwing a bearing/etc. with an un-modded car?? Basically I want to know how hard is it to do some SERIOUS engine damage with a stock 4th Gen Prelude. VTEC, H22A if that makes a difference...

Has anyone here ever done serious damage on a stock engine?? Thanks guys.

well, i started screwing up my car after I started modding it... but before I bought the car the owner rebuilt my old H23 b/c it had a bad crank bearing and was wearing a groove into the crank... and it was stock...

Depends on how you mantain and drive your car. I've heard of many people losing a crank bearing.

Your car could be completly stock or highly modified and you could do the EXACT same thing.. It's called no oil or lack of. I did it this past Oct. I have quite a few bolt ons, and had no internal engine work at all.

Sux pretty bad..

Hehe I liked them. I could definitely tell the difference. But I'm getting the J-Spec motor really soon, so I going to sell those with my old engine (partly because I don't feel like taking them out!! They took so long for us to get them in that I don't even want to deal with it. Plus, I'll probably get more $$ for my engine if I leave them in.)

I've actualy heard this problem on several occasions. I think it happened to 93si4ws on his last motor while driving.

Hasn't happened to me yet, although I drove it for 5 miles w/o oil because the balancer shaft seal backed out.
