What Motor Can I Use?

I plan on swapping in an h22 into my 96' SI. The car is ob2 so should I go with an obd2 motor? I plan on using hondata s300 for tuning. Does that effect whether i go with obd1 or 2? Also I already have a type-s tranny and I was wondering if I could use an auto tranny motor. The least expensive motors I have found are usually obd1 with auto trannies. Will these work?

Your your gonna have to pick up od1 ecu(p28 or P72) and a obd2 to obd1 harness to use hondata and from what i know of the engine the same its just the ecu programing thats different. And Oh by type s tranny do you mean the atts tranny becuase I dont think that can fit into the 4g but your si tranny can be hook up to the h22.

The trans is a jdm type-s with factory lsd no ATTS. It came off my nephews drag civic which had an SH motor but the trans was bought seperate from the Sh motor. As far as the hondata I thought they tunned mostly on obd1.
