air/fuel is pretty...

If you are planning on going FI in the future, maybe get an egt

Get the series that you like the best and what matches your interior the best. Autometer is the most common but you can also look into greddy, apexi, or hks but they don't have as much selection as autometer.

do the autometers have a light up function
I'm going with A/F and oil pressure since I am going to go with

Either one. Oil press. is relative to oil temp.

Not if you are leaking oil. Then you could be at the same temp, but losing pressure.

The way I'm going is going to be with A/F and Oil pressure in a dual pod and a Water temp in that tweeter cover on the drivers side so I can cross reference the digi one.

Also, does anyone know if the carbon fiber autometer guages have a light in them so they are useful at night or is that a custom job???
thanks

All gauges are visible in the nighttime I think.

The Autometer A/F doesn't have a light. It has the readings but you can't see the gauge face. The Oil pressure comes with two different condom looking things to put over the bulbs to change the color. I have some pics if anyone wants them. I have the A/F and Oil press.

I bought mine from summitracing.com. They had it shipped to me in three days and it was only 30 bucks or so for the whole deal.

Part #: ATM-20439

I don't know if Summit lets you link

If not here is the url:
Autometer dual gauge pod.

Fitment was perfect in all aspects. Didn't take very long to install either!!

I assume that these pods are universal for the 4g, correct?

Yep. They follow the same lines as the pillar. Work pretty well too. They should work for all 4th gens!

dont accidentaly get a 5th gen one, make sure you specify the part number!

I have an A/F and Fuel Press. gauge, both in Carbon Fiber, they look real good. AF only lights up with the LEDS to show if you are lean/stoich/rich, the FP does have the back light (with the condoms like $$lude said

What guages you need are relative to what state your engine is in... are you running FI, nitrous, or are you N/A? This should point you in the right direction. The crazier you get w/ your engine, the more guages you'll probably want. For example, since I will probably be going FI (still am deciding), I'll want:

-oil pres (always good to have w/ turbo... very important info)
-oil temp
-EGT
-boost guage (duh)
-air/fuel
-water temp (to help me keep the cooling system under even better wraps)

I would say Oil Pressure is a must. I don't trust the little dummy light on the dash.
