what gas do you use

what kind of gas do you guys use 87 89 or 91...? i heard that SI and VTEC's must use 91. the prelude'a owner manual says "preimium unleaded gas only" and so does on the gauges on the SI and VTEC models.

i do too now that it says it on the gauges and everything else. i use to heard that 91 is bad for your car because it burns your engine and it's not good. suppose to use 91 once in a long time to clean your engine or something. But guessing prelude has such a powerful engine it need the good sh*t huh. fuken gas is going up like crazy.... but i dont blame her she's a prelude different from the rest...

I've been pumping premium for 7 years now. My last 3 cars all required it so it's now big deal to me. Pumping 92 here in Juneau.

I usally run 91 octane(highest in ca) if you run lower you have a higher risk of knocking but your car will retard the timing to combat this. So if you run too low of octane you can lose power from that.
