What flywheel / clutch combination are you sporting?
I'm still sporting a stock clutch at 144,000+ miles, and I think its about time for a new one. It seems to not be grabbing quite as quick, or as hard and the pedal comes over half way out. No good for me.. This is america, we are wasteful people and I will not run my car until its not running.. I am taking the entire engine apart again and while I'm at it.. i'm going to purchase and install a lightweight flywheel, and a new stage 1 clutch. I found a combo on ebay that looks reliable and is a really low price. Its like $250.00 shipped for stage 1 clutch, and 12lb flywheel. Nice.
Anyway, what flywheel, and clutch combination are you using, and also let us know what kinda power you are putting down to need what ever parts you used? Or ddi you just go overkill because you are living in america and we go biggie size on everything.
i would suggest brand name stuff for the clutch/flywheel option but thats me
i used the fidanza 8lb flywheel and you will find a good amount of po'ers use it, cheap $169 nowadays
as far as clutches i use a exedy organic disk (slightly "grippier" than oem) but i would think any "stage 1" clutch will do the job esp for street driving
just don't listen to those ppl who say low weight flywheels really affect city/street driving....it doesn't, as far as clutch disks go i would just choose any major company
alot of ppl buy aftermarket clutches and they all have an opinon, and this is my theory: clutches don't wear out quick (or not supposed to) so ppl are kinda stuck with it for awhile, so you don't get a lot of variety, same thing goes for tires, when ppl ask to pick them a new tire every has a say in which to get and that person might only have experience with one set of tires etc.........i dunno if you get what i'm saying but back to on topic
you should be good with the above suggestion
