What does the EACV do?

I was in the process of doing a coolant bypass and I was wondering if it was okay to bypass the EACV also? Im not talking about the IACV. I was wondering if anyone knows what the EACV does? it is on the front of the intake manifold and has a coolant line running in and out of it. If there is no consequences for bypassing it, i will. I just wondered if anyone else has done this. thanks

That is the proper process for the coolant bypass. I cut out sheet metal and removed the plate that goes on the bottom of it with the nipples for the coolant lines and replaced it with the sheet metal. Looks cleaner, but works either way.

Are people still interested in a "kit" for the coolant bypass including EGR block and machined plates to take care of the IACV and EACV?

I'll consider it after I get my current project off the drawing boards.
