What do you think of this idea (interior)...

I have a milano red lude. I was thinking of giving my interior the following layout for a nice, but clean interior.

1) Reupolster front seats and back seats in tan leather.

2) reupolester floor carpets and lower carpeted part of doors in tan.

3) Get leather door inserts too blend in with door. Also get similar thing for the cloth top of glove comparment.

4) Make 2 small square cutouts in the uppermiddle of the front seats (simliar to racing-sport seats), to allow for a 5 point racing harness (since we cant run harnesses on our stock seats).

5) put in red 5 point saftey harness in seats, but alow them to fold over behind the seat to retian stock seat belts for daily driving.

6) put in a Red-stiched JDM ITR shift boot to blend in with center console and too have some red in it.

7) consider getting white gauge faces to enhance dash board.

Then I will leave stock: Upper portions of doors in black. Dash and steering wheel in black. Center console in Black.

I also already have aluminim pedals and an aluminum spoon shift knob.

So what does everyone think of this interior? Also, is there anything I am leaving out? Anything I should change? I basically want a nice looking interior, that looks kinda stock (no crazy black and red tiger stripes or anything). Thjis is my daily driver, not a show car. It is my goal to make the car look tight... But every aspect has to be clean enough to look like it came from the factory.

First off...how can you say jdm's seats are going to be "played out". If you want something that won't stand out, get some black recaro's or bride's. Tan leather, in my opinion, doesn't look good. Remeber, that's just my opinion...do however you please with your car, it's yours.

My plans are to buy some recaro's and harnesses and be done with my interior. I like simple interiors that flow nicely. I already have my mugen fg360 steering wheel, sparco pedals and a sweet stock 4th gen shifter.

Leave the seats the way they are, theres no point in cutting the seat out to make room to use a harness, buy a seat that does use one like sparco, recaro.... tan i dont think would really go but if thats what you like go nuts, but thats my opinion

Hmmm, that tan interior might work Jordan...its a little hard to picture but I think it might look alright...but honestly u don't see alot of tan and red, so it will definately stick out...but I think the tan color might give a red Lude more of a luxury look...anyone else think that?

I got the same milano red lude...I re-did my door panels in red vinyl...I'm gonna get 2 red reclinable race seats, harnesses and a Momo Apache steering wheel (black/red) and call it a day

I prefer the grey leather interior with red ludes. It suits the car well.

That was basically my reasoning.

Yes Im sure that the tan will give a luxary look but that doesnt go with our cars, (my opinion) but I do think either getting your seats wrapped black or even red and black will go well, when I chose the color for my interior I wanted something simple yet something that was different, as long as it is clean and looks good go with it!

yaaa i c where this guy is heading at, like the red ferraris with tan interior, but theres is a lil darker, i'll get the pic of a lude like that, but honestly for sho, do a custom interior like shadowzz, for go, get some JDM recaros SRD, ur choice of red or black, but for simple street, nothing beats black leather interior, easier to take care of and just simple, u kno....

the link is at

THIS LOOKS SICKKKKKKKK IF U ASK ME BUTTTTTT WITHOUT THAT LEOPARD ****
anyways thats my 2 cents

Yo, go for it man, I think red with tan leather is nice, My friends supra got tan leather seats with a black interior, red outside. It looks fine to me, but some would say get the entire interior tan.

I think u should just get some racing seats so u will have the holes for the harness... and the rest of the interior do it in blk.. that's what i have done.. But that is just my opinion... my car looks like crap anyhow..... And the tan.. i don't think it will fly with too many people...
