What do you guys think of this idea?

Taking the sunroof panel out and replacing it with semi-dark tined glass with a nice sized honda emblem etched into the glass

I am thinking of doing this so i dont have to worry about the rust i have now coming back

you can track down a glass kit on ebay.

I dunno about the honda symbol, but i guess it could go well with the prelude banner of yours

i realize it would let me do that but how easy/hard would it be vs. getting it proffesionally done and eating some cost. If i do this i dont want it to look half assed and ****ty...which is usually what my DIY mods turn out looking like.

Yeah, that would be fun. It would be nice to have sun beating on you all the time, nto to mention the interior.

semi-dark tint..... darker than what usually goes in..... but i'd just go ahead and get it completely black since there is no way of making a sun shade like in the 3rd and 5th gens...

Then what's the point of it being glass.

the point in it being glass is that the rust wont come back, it being semi-dark will allow only 20% of the light through so you can still see tghe sun an ish but it wont beat on you because it will be tinted. Doesnt the sun beat on you and the interior through the rest of the windows anyway?

1) If it's painted and sealed right, the rust won't come back. The rear fenders on our car are very prone to rust as well, lets make them glass.

2) No, the sun doesn't beat on me or the interior through the windows. When the sun is directly overhead, it is at it's highest intensity. Have you ever driven in the middle of the day with the sunroof open?

3) I put a sunshade up in my windshield when my car is parked out in the sun to protect the dash from the sun.

Maybee I should get the glass covered in carbon fiber patter vynal im just kidding. Id rather just get the glass put in with like 5% tint on it rather than taking my chances on some moron doing it properly with a new panel. 5% tint allows almost no light through so it should be cool. Also I always ride around in the middle of the day with the roof open.....almost feels like a drop top then cause u got the sun right on you. I love it.
