What do I need to do???

I am getting the WW RS kit, but the only problem is that I am afraid my car will be too low to go anywhere. I am running on 15s right now. Will going 17 making my car higher and better for the kit???? I am on lowering spring, although there is still a gap, but it's low enough to scratch everything. Any suggestions??? One last question, does your steering wheel vibrate at the light?? My car didn't used to until I changed the springs. Would that be the reason why? thanks!

upping your rim size you decrease your tire sidewall size, so they are the same size...no change in height...

What springs are you running? Changing my springs didn't make my steering wheel vibrate. Did you align it afterwards? If you want a kit I would suggest getting either a set of coilovers or a set of milder springs.

I am using the neuspeed sport springs. they are already mild. I didn't get alignment afterwards because I didn't need to. The alignment is perfect. It doesn't vibrate that bad, just a little. Maybe it's normal????? think my motor mounts are going out? 0_o. hmmm.... the rims won't push up the car??? not the gap, i mean the general height. thanks!

no, the rims generally do not "push" the car up because the tire sidewall height is generally decreased when you get bigger rims. For example, stock aspect ratio is 55, whereas when people get 17's they usually get 40, sometimes 45, sometimes 35. So whereas the rim size increases, the tire size decreases. www.preludecrazy.com will give you all the actual diameters of different setups - there is a link on the left menu called "tire diameters". You can bump up your overall height a little but you shouldn't do it too much. So try the kit and if it scrapes, you could get 17's with a 205-45 and then you'd be bumped up a half-inch or so.

What Joel was saying is correct. If you increase the size of your wheels you decrease the size of your tires. Making the aftermarket wheel the same size as your stock. It won't raise the car.

You should get an alignment everytime after you change any suspension part. It's just good practice. Just because you don't pull one way or the other doesn't mean you are aligned properly. If you lower the car there is going to be negative camber that also needs to be adjusted back to spec

Not sure about your vibration.

I think you should be able to get by with neuspeed sports fine. Maybe some people can post pics they have with a mild drop and wwrs kit but it seems managable. I think someone who is good at fabricating stuff should make a skid plate for the front of our cars.

Not exactly true...a 215/40/R17 tire with rim is about one inch larger in diameter than the stock tire and rim. That's the tire and rim setup I used to have.

ive got the opposite problem...im hesitant about getting the wwrs lip kit because im afraid it wont hang low enough to look right. im on 18 rims with a 215/35s lowered with tein ha coilovers set so that in the front i have about a quarter inch of wheel well gap so i can turn w/o problems and the rear has no wheel well gap at all...top of tire exactly even with wheel well lip. is the kit going to hang low enough? i hate how unlowered cars look with body kits...really makes them look super jacked up. and although im lowered fine, the 18s im worried are keeping the ground clearance kinda on the high side. i'll measure my front bumper to the ground and post so you can tell me what i can expect. i was told earlier that the wwrs front lip hangs about 2" lower than the stock front bumper, plus it juts out further. does this sound right?
