what do I do with them

Ok I am trying to install my CAI, some cheapy one I bought from EBAY, a pipe is a pipe right??? anyway I have the resonator out and now I noticed something, there are a few (2-3 I think) little hoses that have no where to go on the CAI, the new intake only has 2 places to insert hoses, which I think I know which ones goes in there, pretty obvious but what is not obvious is what I am suppose to do with the other little hoses that don’t have a spot on the CAI intake to plug them into...what am I suppose to do with them? Tie them off? Put little filters at the tips and let them hang somewhere?

OK Mario slow down and clarify. You have vacume lines coming off of the throttlebody that are extra? Or are they from a black box that was under your factory intake and behind the battery?

The ones on the TB plug with nipples. The other you can complteley remove (remove that black box too) These were used to open and close the butterflies in you resonater

You don't need that black box for anything if you don't have the resinater in?

Nope...it's just there to be kinda like a blow off valve on a turbo.

As vacume pressure builds up in your TB it is sent down those lines until they reach the box. The boxs acts as diaphram, staying shut until a high enouph Rpm/air pressure is built up to require the opening of those butterflys so the engine can take in more air to help maintain the proper air/fuel mixture for those speeds.

With a CAI your engine is sucking all the air it can, and there are no butterflys so you don't need that black box or any of the hoses connected to it.

Plus it will clean up your engine bay

OK I might have jumped the gun a little, it appears that the only hose that has no spot on the new intake is that one that goes on the valve in the resonator, which I already took out, right now I have a little filter on it right now but I guess I will tie it off. One more thing, to take off the OEM intake pipe, are there any screws I must remove?
