what could wrong with my car?

some times when i take off normally or if i hit a seam in the road just right i feel a hollow sounding click i can feel a thud through the pedal and the steering wheel. it kinda feels like it pushes the axle back or something.. anyone have any idea of what i should look for to be broken.

let me know what you think.. thanks..

instinctively, the first thing i'd look at are my cv-joints. see if they're busted.

i blew my driver's side cv from running over a fox. poor fella.

also check the radius rods; make sure those are good and tight. I had those loose once and had the same symptoms. Also, make sure there is no front/back play in either front wheel assemblies. I had to figure that out, as the metal sleeve that goes through the front radius rod bushings had come siezed to the threaded part of the rod, not allowing it to tighten properly, so I had thought everything to be fine. I found out it wasn't fine when I jacked that corner up, sat on the ground and used my foot to kick/push the wheel front to back, which proved that there still was play in the radius rod assembly.
