What can I Sell this wreck'd 96vtec For?

This is a 96 vtec with 85k. Besides the obvious front end damage it's in great condition. All stock. I may have to sell this, so I wanted to see what people think it's worth, or would pay for it.
What do you think it's worth?

I was in an accident last week when this happened. There's a small leak in the radiator from this accident, but it drives fine. Accident was not my fault btw, only owned the car for about a week. but What's it Worth???

I payed 9500 a little over a week ago. I'm hoping I could get around 5k for it. It needs, hood, fender, bumper, radiator, headlight, and etc. small parts plus whatever needs to be worked on once stripped down. But engine is Strong same with tranny, and can be driven the way it is(temp anyway). Interior is black leather and in good condition. Stock everything, except aftermarket alarm. Adult owned.

damnit, I hate to see that, VTEC models are so rare!!!!!!

argh, you might be better off parting it out for people that need parts, and sell the motor. That is too much damage. I dunno, should be alright.

Is the passanger airbag ok? or did it deploy?

I could use some parts

You'd hate to see that, I only drove it twice, never put gas in it or washed it. But No the airbags did not deploy. Don't think I want to part it out, that would be too tedious and heartbreaking- just wanna get rid of it.

I've been driving it when needed and the radiator leaks about a cup of coolant a day when driven. Besides that it's a beast ready to be let out the cage.

To me that looks like majority outer body damage. Needs a new hood, fender, bumper, head light, parking light, turn signals, radiator if it leaks, and if anything behind the headlight was damaged. I think you'd be better off fixing it. Unless you don't have the money.

Yea there's no way I could pay for this. I couldn't save up either I need a car.
I'm thinking someone might want to buy it and put a kit/cf hood/jdm headlights and whatever else, it wouldn't be a bad deal. Especially if they have time to work on it and know how to do body work.

Yeah, what's up w/ your insurance? Were you not insured? I'd just get that fixed & enjoy it, if your insurance situation's good.

Perhaps it's none of my business, but WHY wouldn't your insurance pay for this, esp if it wasn't your fault?

Your other posts implied you had witnesses (homeless). Why would you sell before you get the results?

cause it doesnt change the fact that he didnt have insurance. so most likely hes screwed which sucks. I bought my totalled 95 vtec with a few k more miles for 2800. and the guy couldnt sell it for like 3-4 months at least I think until I bought it. of course this was totalled and I assume that you think someone will buy this to fix? so I would expect you would get more than that, but Im not so sure about 5k. I suppose if you find the right buyer though. interestingly enough mine is the same color and all the front end parts are good...

Yea I'm hoping someone would want to fix it. I'm telling you I drive it when I have to, and when I do it drives damn good just like it's not wreck'd. To me it's like it's not even there when driving it, except everyone stares at me like I'm some celeb. I could see how everyone wants me to part it out, but why when so many people have kit's and cf and headlights. People love there lude's so much I figure somebody would want to mend this broken lude.

I would but I just bought one. Why not put some stop leak in the radiator and drive it until you can fix it? Just make all the legal things work, headlights turn signal etc.

I would, but it's just a shame driving it that way, and I don't have money or interest in fixing what I didn't cause. Mostly I just don't have the cash or time. Car runs freekin tight though, besides the black eye it's beautiful. 1st gear is smooth and downshifts into 1st are surprisingly smooth also.

Dude, you obviously enjoy driving it... I think you should just do what someone else said, fix up the lights to make it legal, drive it, and save your pennies to repair the rest. Hitting some salvage yards or looking out for other parted 'ludes, you should be able to repair her cheap.

Yea I love the thing, not my first vtec prelude, my second. I just don't think I could deal with the body work it needs. I just stare at it and see all kinds of bent metal that I don't know where the heck it would even go. The radiator is leaking so I have to fix that right away. Pretty much need to do the body work at the same time as the radiator- so body panels should be purchased by then also. I can see one place on the radiator where there's a hairline fracture that it's slightly leaking from but there may be more leaks.

Sheeit I don't know what I'm gonna do?

Well my opinion is that unless you can sell it to some enthusiast who has the time to fix it up and play around with it. You'll get the most money by parting it out. You could always sell it to a collision damage garage and they'll buy it right out but like I said, they wont offer you much. If you have a little bit of patience, just take your time and sell the car. Have a buddy help you out to remove the parts. You get a lot of money that way, and then you can sell whatever is left to the junkyard or something.

Thats my $0.02

If you can see where it's leaking, use some JB Weld as a quick fix. Then work on finding some used body panels. There's tons of totalled 4th gens out there.

And if you want to sell it, what part of Cali are you in?
