What CAI to get?

I want to get a CAI at the end of the month, but it's a toss up right now. I want to get fellow luder's opinions.

AEM or Injen?

If a mod could put a poll for me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks

Many companies just buy an AEM and make a replica so it's the same piping, they often make them aluminum though so it'll prolly conduct heat a little better = bad. Get a better filter though if you do go cheap.

dont waste 200 dolllars on something when you can get the same piping for 30 dollars off ebay and than buy the same or equal k&n filter for 40 dollars. AEM intakes are one of the biggest rip offs, the fact that there hp gains are proven should give you piece of mind that all the rip off pipings gains are proven too.

He's from California. I'd stay away from the 50 dollar ebay specials. AEM and Injen are both CARB legal. Both give the same gains. If you want a polished one though, I'd get the Injen, from what I've heard, the polished AEM isn't of good quality. The Injen is very nice.

well i guess the only reason to get an AEM one would be the carb stamp so if your in cali than AEM is the way to go.

I don't think the ones on E-Bay are Zirconia Powder coated, if they are my mistake.

...I think a while back it was in one of those import magazines. it was on a 5th gen tho, i don' think there would be much difference, but in the article i remember there was like a 5.8 HP increase.

Injen now makes both 1 piece and 2 piece ones... the 2 piece intakes piping is bigger, it is 3" in diameter. the 1 piece diameter i think is 2.5 inches.

2 piece would be cool to have, cuz if it rains and floods then u can just take out one piece and turn it into a short ram.

Paints and powder-coatings help some. So if you were buying an AEM just for the coating, you can also just buy ebay one and then paint it yourself with high temp. resistant paint (forgot technical name ). See this is why I would think that the iceman should be the best because it is made of a plastic that is very resistant to temp increase. Anyone have one to sell me.
