Man you really need to explain this one better, not a clue what you are talking about.

no, not the cables.
they are side by side about 6" long, 3/8 thick and are shaped like and upside down U . they are towards the back of the tranny near the firewall.

Vehicle Speed Sensor.

The tubes run to the power steering pump for the speed sensitive steering, so they are filled with power steering fluid.

What do you mean 'if the tranny is empty'? Did you drain the fluid out?

btw, with the tranny out i noticed that there are 2 bolts that hold the sensor on top of and what looked like only one 10mm holding the housing, with the two power stearing lines, to the tranny. after removing the bolt that seemed to be holding the housing, it didn't just come of it seemed it would need to be pried loose, so i think it would work best to just undo the lines, just my .02.

the two rubber lines go to hard lines, I THINK one goes to the rack and Pinion and the other to the tank. Either way, if you take them off, be ready for most of the power steering fluid to come out.

The vss hoses go to hard lines, scroll down and the pics show it. Google is your friend people.
