V-AFC adjusts the air/fuel and allows you to lower your VTEC to an optimum level. If you have I/H/E this is a good way to tune their performance. Lots of info here:
In his case he gained some HP, but the big improvement is in the dyno curve where he tunes out the VTEC "lull" and makes a nice smooth curve out of it.
What tires were you running for that 14.79? I did the 14.80 in Toyo T1-S...also what was that 14.11 run in your sig with?

Nice! The 96 VTEC represents in the 1/4 mile haha...my 60ft on the 14.8 run was 2.258 but I couldn't get much lower than 2.21 on any run...
God LACR sucks. I don't think any of us can get near that low of 60ft times. Maybe because it was freezing cold. 2.33 is about the best I could get there trying about everything I could do. Anymore gas the tires would spin like crazy and I wouldn't go anywhere.
