Well I started my new motor!

I finally got my new h22 in and all the wiring hooked up, went to start it up, turned over a few times, then fired right up, I have a few bugs, my check engine light is on, and it doesn't rev up it really lags, but other than that, there was alot of late nights, but hey at least it started right? Ill have pics soon.
later matt

I'm not messing with the codes, I wanted a shop to double check everything, so I just had them deal with the codes too. I should hear back from them tomorrow. I have been messing with this car for three months, my patience is out ha ha. I probably have a bad sensor or a vacum line wrong. No big deal.

did you get thet Knock sensor and OIL pressure sensors replaced? I remember that the top one was broken.

What happened with the water pump? Did you yell at the parts guy?

Did you remember to check the Vtec pressure switch? That filter can be clogged. It usually takes a few days to blow the crap from the injectors and get everything lubricated.

Well im looking forward to racing you when you get it running clean. Right now i gota replace my radiator before ill be driving.

Yeah it's running okay now, everything is okay, but it seems real slow compared to my h23/vtec I knew it was gonna be. I doesn't even feel like yours scott, that bish pulls pretty good. I'm sure your right about taking a few days to clean all that **** out, i'm gonna buy some injector cleaner and some other sh!t and see if that helps at all.

what's up slick.

Not much, dude. Sorry to hear that the new engine is slower, but knowing you, major HP isn't far away...gotta start somewhere, right?

match up all the parts to put on it and it will pull just like your old motor i guarantee...i rode in a stock 95 vtec the other day and i was like wtf, haha...it was so weak compared to how my car pulls...mine feels similar to FI how the revs rise, and you can feel yourself being tucked into your seat... i love it! good news on the motor though..good luck in your new endeavor

Man, I still don't know how you do it (13 seconds, all motor lude). If I'm ever down in Florida again, I'll have to hit you up for a ride in your Lude.
