Well I finally found out what is wrong=(

Hey,
I hve been havin trouble with Vtec since I did my swap. It never engaged. I tried everything, different solenoid, 3 different ECU's, and wiring. Finally took to to my friends shop, and we looked at it. We(He) came to te conclusion I have very bad oil pressure. He told me I am gonna need a new oil pump, oil pick up, maybe rings, and bearings as well. I am looking at about 1000. I am gonna have to sell my turbo to get the money I need to make some decisions, Moroso oil pan or stock honda oil pan? Honda rings, or total seal? Think I should just save and build the bottom end completely?

Josh

Hell, while you are redoing the whole thing you might as well go all out!

well its really hard to say how much power you can get doing all motor. It really depends on what you do and who does the work. You can get cams and port/polish head. But find a good shop to do the headwork that can port it to match with the cams. Also put in some new valve springs, retainers. If you want a stronger bottom end...you can do forged pistons, rods, etc.

R & D has a prelude motor that goes 10's in the quarter mile in a CRX that is N/A. I would think that, if we went a little more conservative on the motor and put it in a prelude then you could still be in the 12's

if you still really want to keep your turbo, I would still highly recommend building up the bottom end.
