weird overheating problem?

i have this weird overheating problem
i searched for it and none seems to be like mine
well my car runs are normal operating temp when i drive
but when im in a traffic jam and my car is just idling for a long time like a few mins.....it goes to 1 bar over normal
and when i start driving
it will go back down to normal
soooooo does anyone know what is wrong here?
i mean shouldnt it be hotter when ur driving and cooler at idle?
im confused.....

Check your coolant....then check if the cooling fan is coming on.
I've HEARD (Not sure if its true) that sometimes its ok to drive 1 bar over normal..but i wouldnt.

Mine did the same after I pulled my turbo out beacuse the wiring got rigged to help cool everything down. After I did my JDM swap and lost the turbo, it would occassionaly overheat. I ran a switch to the one fan and it just turn it on when it's idling or in traffic and it works fine. If you do that, make sure you run a fuse through it as well.

I have the same exact problem ! Sometimes ithe meter would go all the way to 4th bar ! I just blast the heater and it goes back to normal. It could be my header leak...
