WEIRD front lighting problem.

The lighting in the front of my car was acting up today.

When I turn the light on 1 click (parking lights):
-Turn signal on interior of car slightly illuminated.
-Both headlights are on, but VERY dim.
-Right corner light on, but dim.

When I turn the light on 2 clicks (headlight on):
-Right (pass side) headlight goes out.
-Right corner light goes out.
-Right front bumper light comes on.
-When using right signal, the relay clicks very fast.

I think there may be a few more problems, but this is all i can remember for now. It was raining today. But the car never had any problem in the rain before.

Anyone ever had a similar problem? Is it just relays going bad? Or is there a problem with my wiring? Thanks.

When the signal clicks fast, it's usually an indication that a bulb blew, or the resistance is decreased.

But since the right corner comes on with one click, but goes out when two clicks, I'd assume one of the wires are not connected properly. Why do you have your headlights on with one click?

Have you done any wiring to your signals or headlights recently?? That's some messed up stuff going on.

If you haven't.. swap the relays around and see if anything changes, if so then I'd just replace them. It could also (if it's not your relays or wiring) be your actual light contoller stalk (though I'd look into this last).

Also, like pter said the fast blinking/clicking is usually a detection of fault in that circuit (ie burn out bulb, missing bulb, or wrong resistance by short or open).

When you don't turn on your light at all (as if you were driving durring the day), do your blinkers blink fast?.. or only when you have the parking/headlights on?

I have never touched the wiring on my lights or signal. When the lights are completely off, the turn signal blinks like normal.

I did find a blown bulb on the side front right bumper. Haven't replaced it yet, so hopefully that's it. It's weird because I've blown those bulbs before and never had this problem.

yeah this doesn't sound like a normal blown bulb problem, but start with that and see what happens.

Let us know.

Update: I finally fixed the problem. Just for future reference, it was just a loose ground behind the passenger side headlight. Took me forever to figure that out though.
