Weird brake noise

Several times this afternoon, i felt and heard a weird, grinding sound coming from the right front of the car. I felt the vibrations through the pedal and it felt like it went unusually low. It happened during very light braking (10 mph at the most).

This happened to me several months before at the same low speeds, but reoccurred today for the first time.

My brake pads are fine and I didnt scrap the pavement or anything.

Any ideas?

does it kinda vibrate and wobble ? like the steering wheel while u are braking ? if so your rotors are probably warped

Check your pads. Im almost positive I read somewhere in the owners manual that your brakes will sometimes make a grinding sound when your pads are low. Apparantely it is just a warning feature for your to change your pads. Dont take my word for it, but check your pads.

the aem rotors are 85 a piece i hear they are ok there are a few other choices u should check out like www.ardperformance.com or something like that it will cost u around 500 for all new rotors and pads i think ..u should replaced them to cause if u had a warped rotor it would wear the pad in a funny shape

they make a squeling(spell check) noise when its time to replace ..after u go past that point yes they will start grinding the metal against therotor and cause lots of problems ive seen rotors weld themselves to worn brake pads before they got so hot ( not on a car though)

well alot of people from honda-tech says that its pretty much worthless...it doesnt grip as well as a slotted and x-drilled rotor should...so personally i would get the brembos....if you want some brembo blanks for even cheaper price....go to honda-tech.com in best buys i think...and do a search on brembo....i'm not sure but steve colleti i think from colleti motorsports are selling the brembo blanks for $29 i think...or somewhere around that price range....its just as good......
