A/C, if you wanna get drastic, that's about, what, 20-40 lbs? Hehe, like in that article in an old issue of SCC with a 99-00 Civic Si as the guinea pig, you can scrape all the undercoating off. Ok, sorry, umm, rear seats? I mean, how drastic would you like the changes to be in favor of a lighter car? I don't know how much cruise will reduce, probably nothing much. Oh yeah, remove the sunroof and swap in a carbon fiber cover. Wheels of course, unless you skipped that in your post because it's a bit obvious, ummm, JDM bumper: passwordjdm sells JDM front bumpers, and they claim they save about 25 lbs because of the lighter rebar in the JDM version. I'll think some more about this, but I'm sure everyone else has good/better ideas. I know what you wrote, you also want us to make the reductions, but I'm not sure how much the oem and replacements weigh, I can estimate:
2700 - A/C (guessing that it's 30 lbs)
= 2670 - sunroof and associated parts (50 lbs?)
= 2620 - OEM bumper, replaced with JDM (25 lbs)
= 2595 ... overall weight reduced = 105 lbs
someone else more knowledgeable wanna take the reins? Because I don't have the slightest clue as to what a hood weighs, oem or carbon fiber.

2700#'s?!?!
That was a good one!
Well, I am in the 2700# range right now. Thats with a gutted trunk, aluminum straight pipe, removed power steering and cruise, aftermarket header, intake. I believe it was 2750'ish.
The best you can hope to get out of a 4th Gen Lude is about 2500ish. Thats completely gutted, light wheels, and all the stuff I have done. Not to mention a CF hood. I recently installed a CF hood, so I will have to see what it weighs now.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
More reasons why I just bought a CX Hatch. 2000#'s, gutted with a cage and a GSR motor.
Preludes just can't be good racecars. They are THE ULTIMATE Street Car though.
hmmm titatialn exhaust, c/f fenders, c/f front bumper, c/f hood, trunk lip, sunroof cover/plug, i dont' mean a functional one, the whole thing motor and all. ligher seats, rims as mentions. windshield washer bottle and fluid, that sutff add 10 pounds full?, cruise control. a/c, ligher battery, like from the odyssey, it about 15 pounds, how heavy is stock, and if you relocated to a more lower and rear location you should be abe to get better balanace?

Hmmm..
Drop passenger side seat,
Toast everything you can under the dash
Light Wheels
Sound Proofing
AC
Powersteering
Switch to Racing Seat
Rear Seats
Sunroof
Electric motors for doors,
Sound System
Carbon Fiber this and that.
Loose headlights for covers (to extreme )
Windshield fluid
Some of that stuff I know is not real practical but it's still a possibility.

Lol, seems like JDM everything weighs less than USDM stuff. Civic is lighter mainly because it's smaller, but also it's got a smaller engine as well as the radiator and a host of other parts ... basically every body part on the civic is slightly to moderately smaller than it's corresponding part on the prelude.
whats the point in making your everyday driver ugly by stripping it out and making it a "drag car". I have a friend that has stripped his last 2 preludes to make them "drag cars" and he runs 15s maybe 14s...whats the point? Our cars aren't race cars...their heavy. oh well...to each their own.

if its a daily driver I wouldn't change it at all, but if you want a drag car then since it would be only race, I would take out all interior dash, passenger seat, rear seat, all of it unless its used to actually drive the car.
If its only for a strait line run, you can take out any unessasary
susp parts.
in the engine compartment you can take AC/PS/CC/ABS out. that gots to be pushing 80lbs at least.
use a fuel cell and relocate battery to the trunk for balance, but not really needed if for drag

I'll let you take mine for a spin if you are ever in AR. The thing handles so much better. Girls still like it because they only care about how they look in it to other people on the road.
Relocate the battery to the trunk, and take out everything from the front that you can. try to move weight from the front to the rear if you can. It'll help the whole understeer thing noticabley(sp)

but then wont that hurt off the line acceleration a lot? then a cf hood would help the car handle better? the owner of super honda got a cf hood and said he lost some grip in acceleration.
