Weee! Look what I just bought ... now what's missing?

Phew, I'm glad no one posted a "heads-up" on this one, I was sweating nails just before I placed my snipe, err, bid. Ok, I'll be tucking this one away for a bit until I get the chance to tear my car apart, but for now, what's missing? I've already ascertained that maybe the sunlight sensor isn't there, but what else?

You could talk to volk-rays on ebay... he might have the sensor. Congrats on your winning... I was bidding on that too, but kinda forgot about it too.

you're home free then Maybe I'll just pm Jeremy or someone else who did this monstrosity of a swap and ask him about the sunlight sensor. Speaking of doing it, has anyone who has done it had any persisting rattles and squeaks in their dash after reassembling things? That's one of my bigger fears (next to, of course, destroying my car lol).

Congrats. Now install that bish so that you can join the club

edit: you're missing the following parts: sunlight sensor, outside temp sensor and power transisor with heatsink. It was nice of him to include the recirc and mode motors but those aren't needed.

quite a lot of people actually. It's not that hard really as long as you have all the required parts and the wiring diagram. It took me about 4 hours to install everything on my 2nd Lude without taking the evap and dash out

Search under 1997 CL (any trim will do)--> http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org

Outside temp sensor (product # 61089)- $21.33
Sunlight sensor (product # 61056) - $36.86
Power transistor w/ heatsink (product # 59941) - $93.85

Although you can always call your local junkyard and ask for those parts for half the price or so.

Yeah you should be able to find the parts at a junkyard off a CL, also note that the sunlight sensor might be a little bit different in term of fittement but should work just as well otherwise.

Also a lot of newer Hondas have the power transistor, my guess is if it doesn't have a slider to control the temp it has a transistor and it should be pretty similar to the one you need.

oh, well then that makes my life a lot easier, I'll check with my dad and see what kinda of discount I can get on one, are you sure any will do, the only prequalifier being that it doesn't belong to a slide-control hvac system?

I know for a fact that the sunlight sensor isn't needed.
I would Email volk-rays and see how much he'd charge for the outside sensor and the power transistor. His address is: volkrays@dslextreme.com
