weather seal, plastic lining????

I need to replace the weather seal on the bottom of my back windshield. The plastic/rubber lining that runs all of the way around the window has peeled off and is starting to rust. What is this part, where can I get it, and to replace it do I need to have my back window taken out?

I posted on the same problem a little while back. Everyone basically said that almost all of the 4th gens do it eventually. The best option they gave me was to take it to the dealer and let them replace it....some one said it cost them $70. The only other "trick" anyone mentioned was to put a strip of electrical tape down it to cover it up.

Or you can tape off the area around it and paint it black with some spray paint and then clear-coat it.

And what about the rubber seal at the bottom? Mine has some cracks and is a bit warped at the ends... anyone replaced that? How much it cost?

with this fix.....isn't there a chance of water leaking in since it doesn't have the weatherstripping anymore?

the weather stripping doesnt really do much in terms of stopping water. water flows through a channel thats around the trunk and just flows away
