weird... i have water too only in the spare wheel... but the `floor thingy` in the trunk is dry. And the underside of the spare wheel is dry too... I have absolutely no idea where is the water coming from...

Try replacing your taillight gaskets.

Im still confused as fvck. This thread lists a number of reasons how Preludes get water in the trunk area, and sometimes back into the back seat etc. If you have ice, its because the water that had leaked in there has FROZEN. In that case, break it lose a get it out. Once you have done that, there are two drain plugs below the spare tire which you can just push down to the ground. That will allow water to drain so it doesnt collect.

However, you still need to find out where came from. This takes trouble shooting. None of us here can sit on our laptops and diagnose for you. BUT, you can take the reasons that people have already posted, and do some trouble shooting on your own.

Unless someone deleted their posts, I don't see anywhere that someone was talking about your laptop or anything. I really don't understand where you are getting your attitude from.

Its a 10 year old car. Give it a break already. The water in the trunk is somewhat of a common issue. Its not that big a deal if you address it. And if the ATTS light is on, their maybe some other issues. But that's a whole other list of threads that you can read through.

There is plenty of info on this site already. It just requires YOU to read and search through it. No one can diagnose your car with the one liner questions you ask.

Periods are your friend. Im still thoroughly confused by your posts...

EDIT: OHHHHH, now I get it. You did not read the thread prior to posting that, and did not mean to post that. Hence your "laptop sucks comment." Man, you really got to learn how to use punctuation....

"ya my bad man did not mean to post that my laptop sucks"

I read that as one sentence, which meant to me that you posted that your laptop sucks. Which made no sense at all because you never discussed your laptop prior to that. But what you meant to say was...

"Ya, my bad man. I did not mean to post that. My laptop sucks."

THAT makes a lot more sense. Punctuation PLEASE!

don't sweat it - get some silicon caulking from walmart and caulk up everything in the trunk. that's what I did with mine and I never had another problem. now its a problem with the 5th gen....

Some RTV around your taillights wouldn't hurt. I do it to all my lights, because they eventually get water in them. My civic leaked in the trunk really bad til I sealed the taillights. Check the gaskets around your spoiler bolts too.

do you just take out the taillights and put the rtv around the edges, then put them back in?

my lude also have the problem...

i havnt tried any solution, but i test it one day before cleaning it... trowing water from the trunk... take a look... then from the glass.. look... and from the sun roof... and then look...

i do that and still no clue wher its coming... i see the water coming from the back of the car.. near the trunk lock...

i have changed the headlights that could be the headlight gasket.. but it leaked before that... and i have to check the sunroof lines...

also i want to say that beside the black plugs in the middle of the spare tire thing... there is a tiny hole that drains water too... maybe is clogged like mine was...

im really frustrated with my leaking trunk need some ideas. Its absolutly pouring in the northeast today and i thought i fixed my leaks but i was wrong. The trunk doesn't have any panels or anything so i can try and source the problem.

Here is what i have done. Sunroof lines are clear(ive put a hose in the sunroof tray and watched the water come out the bottom). I've resealed the vents with silicon. My 4th gen doesnt have an antenna so there is no hole to leak through. and the tail light gaskets are new and i cant feel any water coming from the area. The water doesnt get into the spare tire well unless i drive it and it runs down from either side. All the water is sitting up by the wheel wells. It seems like eveywhere else is dry except for the area where it leaks. Any insight would be great. Thanks
