Water in spoiler??

Ok, so here's an odd one for yas... I noticed the other day when i opened my trunk that it sounded as if there was water in my spoiler sloshing around. So today i decided to remove my spoiler and give it a closer look. The spoiler is off and there's definately a crap-ton of water sloshing around inside it. But there's no way to get it out, and more importantly no way for it to have gotten in! Either honda engineers used some sort of water ballasting balance system in the spoiler or water has some how condensated over the past 10 yrs inside the spoiler, im lost here!

Any ideas? I dont think pictures will help anything but if you want them i can get them.

If it were me I'd drill a small hole under the spoiler where noone would really notice it w/o looking. That way if it is pulling in water it will leak out while your driving.

yeah, ive contemplated drilling a small hole.... its just weird as hell b/c none of the mounting holes go through to the inside, so it makes no sense how water could have made its way inside.

Maybe a chemistry/science teacher would know!? Probably some weird science explinations. Hmm.. well maybe if there was a place for air to get in that could cause it. Condensation over the years maybe!?

but if water could get in with condesnsation, then there must be a way for it to get out aswell. thats very strange. i wouldnt drill a hole. ide rather find the solution to the problem. maybe take off the spoiler and seal it up in the places you think it could condense. maybe take off the led panel in the spoiler and see if theres something there.

ive searched it over and over for any sign of a crack or hole of any sort and have come up empty... and there is no LED on my stock spoiler.

I'm sure i'll end up drilling and draining it, i was kinda curious to see if anyone else had noticed the same with their spoiler.

maybe ill check mine...

you cant take off your spoiler? maybe the holes to where it hooks up to the trunk are loose or something. this is crazy! you have to figure it out.

I know our spoilers come with two thin, porous gaskets that fit in between the trunk and the spoiler itself, They are there to release the pressure that may build up inside after going through rain, heat, snow or whatever, so my only guess is that water was retained in that area and slowly evaporated into the inside of the hollow spoiler housing.
