Sup guys! I've got a bit of a problem. There's water puddles inside my car. On the passenger and driver side, both of the floor mats are drenched in water with a puddle on the passenger side.
It's definitely water cuz it doesn't smell and it's very clear, so I don't know what else it would be. I'm thinking it's the hose that drips the water from the A/C outside under the car, it might be clogged or loose or something. It can't be rain because this has never happened before and it wasn't raining today, although it has been raining alot in the past few weeks.
Anyone ever go through something like this? On my way back home from work I had the A/C off and I didn't notice any more water on the floor. I'd just like to know if anyone else has any other ideas on what it could be and how to fix it. Thanx!!
Never had the problem before, but it really sounds like it's that AC hose. Check it out, it's real easy to get to. Just get under your dash on the pass side and look for a big rubber grommet in the firewall with a part of the evaporator (turning into a tube shape) going into it.. that's where the hose starts.
My friend had a 92 Si and when he took a turn water would SPILL out from the center console by the firewall. Its prolly the same type of thing. It ended up an A/C hose was disconnected. Good luck.

I had a problem like this when I first got my lude, it was the evaporator getting clogged up, basically the mechanic told me it was leaves and stuff like that can get clogged in there, so he sprayed it out a couple time which was a temporary fix, but ended up drilling a hole into the evaporator so it could drain more easily. (Sorry if this doesn't make any sense, its just how he explained it to me) Also get it fixed asap, the water started shorting my ecu, and my auto trans went to ****, it was shifting really bad, and at the worst could barely get the thing running, but once the water problem was fixed, car was back to normal.
First i must ask, Did it rain light or heavy a few days or the day b4 u noticed the problem ? if it did, then i can tell u its not your AC hoses. I had the same problem 2 years ago, it rained for a whole weekend and it felt like all of it had gone into my car. both my back seats and back floors were full of water, and so was the passenger side floor, not the seat, felt like there was a lake in the car, but not the driver side at all ! for some reason, i didnt get that part. But anyway, I took it to this guy the next day, and all he did was put some silicone around the edges of the windshield, and back window. for some reason, they were pretty open, and thats how the water got in. I checked the inside of the car to see if i could pick up trails, which i found while i was cleaning, and indeed, it was thru the back window that everything got in, since i had water in the spare tire compartment, but everysince he put that silicone 2 years ago, i never had that problem again. Only thing is my freakin seats, carpet, and mats took a week to dry, but everything has been find after that. I hope this helps.

Yeah...it does help. It's one of possibilites I'm gonna look into. The only area that was wet was the driver and passenger side floor mats. It has been raining heavily in the past couple weeks....so I'm not gonna rule out the possibity of it being rain water.
My car is starting to smell by the way because of the wet carpet. and all the heat. I just haven't had any time to check it out with work and school and all the booty calls in between (playin)!
i have exact same problem...took it to a radiator/a/c store
they said the heater core is clogged up
all they hafto do is take it out and clear it....sounds pretty simple...but not sure how hard it is....lol...
I put the car in my garage and got under it. I blew some high pressure air into the evaporator hose from my compressor and all the water just started to gush out and hit me in the face. Felt so good to finally have that f-in water out of there....it was pissin me off every time I made a turn and the water just started flowing onto the carpet like a little river.

Yep, thats the solution I have to deal with every couple of months it seems, if you ever get it fixed permantly pm me!
Damn really? Does the water ever completely drain out of the evaporator? After the water came out there was still some left in there. I figured it would just empty out eventually with regular driving and usage. Have you tried removing the evaporator completely?
I know it's a pain because you have to vacuum and recharge the A/C lines and stuff.
Ill start to hear it building up in the evaporator, kinda sounds like a slushy machine when I take a turn, mostly just left turns, unless its really filled I guess. Now when it happens, I basically just take it to the nearest shop, and give the guys a couple of bucks to blow it out. After the first time it comes out, I shut the ac off immediately, and being in Florida.. I don't really feel comfortable taking apart my car, but that option, of taking out the evaporator and cleaning it out has been suggested by shops.
Yeah...what you described is exactly what I hear.....that slushy sound on left turns. My A/C seems fine for now but if it starts doing it again......I'm definitely gonna remove the evaporator and clean it out.
My biggest fear was that the water was going to get to the computer which I believe is right under the carpet on the passenger side foot area......directly under the spot where the water usually drips down to.
Your right, it is pretty much were the passangers right foot would be, but it took a whole lot of water for mine to start I guess shorting the computer? Like I said before the auto trans would randomly shift gears, and Honda was drooling trying to fix me up with a new ecu. But I ended up just letting it dry out, blowing out the evap, and reseting the ecu, and I havn't had any problems from the ecu since. Also always carry a towel in the backseat
