Warning 2.3 Si owners, so no one else makes this mistake

If you are going to put a Neuspeed tiebar "front strut bar" do not make this mistake.

The Neuspeed site states the correct bar for the 92-96 S & Si (non VTEC) part number is 35.20.80

I ordered it only to find out that if you have the ABS option the master cylinder for it is in the and will not allow you to mount it.

"Fix" called back to Nipponpower, where I ordered it from and emailed pictures, Richard one of the owners was very helpful and fowarded the pics to Neuspeed, who said they had never had this problem but did acknowledge that the ABS master cyl was in the way, and that I should use part number 35.20.81 which is for the 92-96 VTEC and that should fit. Richard at is going to ship the new part to me.

I will let you know if it works.

Hats off to Nipponpower for thier help.

I would show pics but I cannot figure it out yet

Learning fast while building this car for my daughter!

Nick

P.S. I took out the H's, alas gut!

Welcome to the board Nick. I'll be the first to kindly tell you it's VTEC, no h. You've gotta be a cool dad if you're building a car for your daughter.

^^ he has a very good point. I have seen many poeple be seriously flamed for saying "VTECH"

In regards to the bar. I have the upper strut bar on my '95 Si. I have ABS as well and the one for the Si fit perfect.

Anyway, welcome to PO.com I'll bet it will be the best $6.53 you ever spent.

Khmerlude, Not a problem. I did not think a strut bar could cause this much confusion!

I have not figured out how to post pics here yet, to try an unscrew this problem. I sent some to mrclifford to post for me.

If any of you have pics if the bar on a Si please post or email them to me.

T/M, Nick

To me it looks like nothing is actually blocking it. I don't know how a vtec bar will help your situation.

I have a vtec bar but I don't see where your problem is coming from.
