vtec questions

any one know the average life expectancy of a vtec or how effective it would be for a rebuild? any price info you can throw me is appreciated. thancks

i know someone that has 200k+miles without a rebuild.(93 VTEC) I don't know about pricing to rebuild, but I would only do it if it really needs it. I would expect about 150k miles before any major problems.

For a basic rebuild you are looking in the area of 1-2k(half that if you do it yourself). But if you are going to have the engine apart you might as well build it up to handle whatever power route you plan on pursuing. If you build the motor the price is going to vary alot depending on what parts you use and what you machine/bore/polish on the engine.
