VTEC Problems

I dunno what the problem is, but my car isnt' throwing any codes...

VTEC was working fine, the car would pull really hard when in vtec, i just rebuilt the engine and was doing some testing.... When I gave it in first gear, around 6500 just before i was about to shift, when vtec was screaming the note changed of the engine to this really off tune, high pitch sound, can't really describe it, so i let off the gas real quick..... Thought nothing of it really...

Now when I give it, the car feels like it has no power in vtec...... What the heck did i do?! I haven't really been pushing on the engine hard at all, and I didn't bounce the red line....

I have a 93 SRV or 93 VTEC for the guys in the states.

I hope I didnt' break something

Hope that after you rebuilt it you had the breakin period. To me it sounds like it isnt supplying enough fuel for the air it's taking in. I would suggest get on a Dyno with a wideband Exhaust Analyser and see what it reads when in VTEC. Could tell you whats going on...

Well, I checked the oil, and uhh.....

It was low very low....

Reason I didnt' think it was that at first was cause I checked it like 5 days before, and it seemed fine....

I dunno.

If your burning oil then you might have a cracked ringland in one or more of your pistons, or the pistons rings didn't seal all the way letting oil get by. Did you hone the cylinders when you rebuilt it? There could be irregularities in the cylinder walls from before you rebuilt it. VTEC isn't engaging because there isn't enough oil pressure. Take it back to whoever rebuilt it.

Good Luck...
