vtec maplight installed

i got a 95 vtec maplight from a guy about 3 days ago...i had to cut a hole in my headliner and cut the harness on my 92 domelight and extend the wires to the 95 maplight...but after connecting the wires and nicely putting the maplight in the headliner i have installed it with no problems

i also got my 95 visors (broke my 92s, but 95 has a bigger mirror) and my vtec rear 6x9 installed today also

Cheaper to sell your car and buy a VTEC than doing all that stuff.

Come on Dennis......you know better than post this without pics....pics....

Good job...I guess I can't wait to install mine.
So...the dome connector did not match the map light connector...I wish it did......

So there isn't a taped connector hidden for the maplight if you don't have a VTEC. Meaning, only VTECs would only have this type of connector.

You didn't lose the function of the domelight did you dennis.

there is a special connector for the vtec map light but i just cut and spliced the wires from the 92 dome light and ran them to the front where the map light is...i do have 2 lights now but 1/2 the time i shut off the dome light and use the map light as my primary light source

I still think it's pretty cool. I'm trying to convert my interior to VTEC, and have been pretty succesful so far--and yes, I got it at a cheap price. My next move is to find the VTEC headliner w/o the 3rd brakelight.
