Vtec issues (i know u love these posts)

ok so i did my USDM swap into a 95 Si...

when i went to run the 3 wires, i first spliced them into the wires on the solenoid... then fed them thru the firewall. Once i got to my ECU, i noticed that on the harness, the light blue and green/yellow wires already existed on the harness, in the appropriate spots. I put a post up about it, and u guys told me that some 94-96 Si's came pre-wired all the way through. Well, i left the wires ran, but taped off, just in case that wasnt the case.

Well now im driving the car, and vtec def. doesnt work. So i thought "maybe since i spliced the wires, the ecu thinks its trying to go to two different places" So i disconnected my ran wires completely, but still no vtec.

I know the motor's vtec works.. cuz i drove the car it came out of for 500 miles home from conneticut.. I also have the same ECU from the car. Any suggestions?

Try to find where the OEM wires terminate and connect your wires there

the OEM wires dont terminate... thats the thing. They go right into the ECU harness. and on the connecting side, there are pins already there.

They have to terminate SOMEWHERE. Track down the plugs in the engine bay where they end, then add your wiring to the plug that mates with it.

Do a search for post by me on the swap. I have pictures of where IN THE ENGINE BAY these wires terminate. Your car is prewired for VTEC and has the wires in the engine bay to connect to already.
