you can probly drop a B16 or a B18 in a 90 lude the motor you have depending on the model might be a B series

uh no...its a waste of time...just buy a 4th gen si and put a jdm h22 in there and you should be set...its a waste of time if you even try to hook up the 1990 prelude...go with the next level...

DAYAM!!! I didn't even think this swap was possible. I guess that w/ money & enough time, anything is possible. I'm still trying to figure out if the S2K engine will ever work properly in a 4G...

Yup its possible...very clean install

By the way...an S2K engine would kinda suck in a Prelude...only 142 ft/lb of torque to push the 2,800+ pound Lude...probably end up being slower....unless u drop the comptech supercharger on it too

the s2000 is rear wheel drive, it would take like a million dollars to make that engine work in a prelude

Back to the original question, buy a car with a nice body and interior with a ton of miles. Maybe a messed up tranny or motor even. Then spend $2500 for a jdm h22. You'll have a car in good condition and with about 35,000 miles for less than you could find a 4th gen vtec. BTW the JDM motor should come with the motor, tranny and ecu. You might need to buy a few other parts like a coil or distributer of something.

i dont see why hooking up a 90 is a waste of time?..

and yeah, an H22a can go in, theres alot of h22'd 3gs. Place racing makes the mounts, its not as much work as you think, although it is work.

Man, if I could get an H22'd 3G, I'd do it. It'd be a helluva a nice beater car. I need a beater car, NOW.

the S2K weighs 2810 lbs. Do some reading about what 'torque' and 'gearing' do, you might learn something.

There is a 3rd gen here in austin that is clean as hell - 17" BBS wheels, brembo brakes, recaros, nice new paint job (stock color) full suspension - and a type S motor under the hood (LSD and all)
