vtec control and car updadates - Honda Prelude Forum

just to HI. trying to get settle in. the shipping company damage my car so i am going to get that fixed. nothing serious.

my question is... what is the offical name of the piece that tell makes your car go into vtec. you know its mounted on the passanger side of the engine bay? i think i need to replace mine but i am not for sure if i am calling it the correct name. no auto parts store seems to have it. it may be a dealer only part.

You mean the VTEC solenoid? the thing behind the distributor? If so then yes it is only available at the dealer.
