When ever the engine warms up my dome light and srs light which is on starts dimming and I'm getting horrible hesitations. I've used a meter and found out that it drops to 12v. When I'm driving as soon as I put my foot on the gas the voltage drops, take my foot off and it goes back to normal. The plugs tell me that the engine is running extremely lean. I've changed the alternator but it still doing it. The funny thing is when I have all the lights on they are not dimming but hesitation is still there. What is causing it? Charging system, fuel pump? What exactly happens as I press the gas pedal what elextrical components are active? I also had TB replaced.

My car is a '94 VTEC. Anyone hase a manual to look up what would cause this?

well, when u floor it, the ur ignition system works harder. im gonna look this up in my helms now

is the alternator drive belt snug? mine came loose one night. drove back home on battery power...

where are u measuring the power at? i have an autometer voltmeter, and the voltage sometimes is at 12v and other times at 14v, depending on the load and whether the battery is being charged or not.

Everything is tight and the way it should be. I measure the power at the batt. and lighter outlet. If I have the dome light on I can see it dim. I thought as soon as you start the car you get 14v regardless whether the batt. is getting charged or not.

I had cap, rotor, distributor replaced and I have Magnecore plug wires. Also, I noticed the voltage dropped as soon as the car started moving without me actually pressing the accelerator while in neutral. The lights dim even when I lightly press the gas pedal when the car is in motion while in gear. The car sounds normal and there aren't any weird noises while all this is happening.
