I was going to look at a 92 Prelude tomorrow and was wondering how you can easily tell the difference between the Si and S models? Neither being V-Tech of course.
The biggest thing will be the engine. One is a F22 while the other is a H23.
You can also look at the VIN and it will tell you if its a BB4
If he's looking at a s or si it's not going to be a BB4. Your knowledge of preludes is slipping.
Visually in stock form the s has 14" wheels with hub caps. It has no front lip. It has no power locks. Like peter said when you look at the engine the S will have a f22a1 sohc motor.
The si in stock form will have 15" rims. It will have a front lip. It will have power locks. The motor will be a h23a1 dohc. The SI also has ABS.

Folks, Mine it's S (F22A2 - SOHC), it has power locks, front lip, 4 disk brakes. So it seems to be a S model with the A2 version which comes with 145 hp, not 130 hp...weird ... =)

Where are you from? The A2 motor was never available in the Prelude in the US. Look at your vin number. What are the next two letters and number after JHM...
What model does it say in the drivers side door jam?

Oh my God I have never seen so much misinformation in my ****ing life in 1 thread. IDK who is right or who is wrong but just look at the damn engine and the vin. Thats all that matters anyway.
