VIS CF hood fitment issue

Has anyone else had any fitment issues with a VIS hood?? We installed mine last night and cant get it to line up right with the hood latch. Im thinking once I get the hood pins installed I may just remove the latch. For the hood to fit right on both sides the latch needs to be slidden over to the right...which the latch wont do. Just wandering if anyone else had this issue. thanks

I've seen it 2x, I guess ask for a new hood if you can't move the actual hood catch over enough. The hood latches are hand laid into teh cf, and they suck sometimes.

I've heard a lot of bad things about VIS hoods, and i've seen their quality in fitment a few times.
I don't know if they have any left in stock, I know they quit making CF parts, but check out www.geminicomposites.com
I have the V weave hood, and it fits perfect.

my VIS CF hood is about 3.5 years and looks like dog $hit now. I'll be replacing it with an OEM hood very soon. Looked great for about the first year...and was downhill from there.

just take the hood latch off and drill out the holes on the latch bigger so that you can slide it over enough to latch on.

My Seibon is quite nice, no need for hood pins or anything. The only part the "doesn't line up" is at one of the corners by the hinges, and its not bad, just a little closer than the other.

Did you unbolt more than just the four bolts? You you unbolt the other four on the bottom of the hinges. Should give you more movement/adjustability.

YES SIRRR, i got them both out,, they have two sets of tabs, that pull out towards the roof of the car, and the cf hood fit perfect, i installed it with sprayers and all the clips in 30 min, plus i wire brushed off some of the rust too.

ANOTHER BIG Q!

i got a cf trunk, and i dont have the trim that goes around the license plate, any one got an idea?

installin the trunk tomarrow, wish me some luck.
