VIN plate color?

On the driver's side dashboard, where the VIN number plate is located, what color is yours?

I got a ticket because I had something over the VIN on the dash, anal - but yes, it's illegal.

At least here in california..

A friend asked me why mine was blue, where as his plate was grey with some background lettering. I checked out other cars I noticed all the other random cars I looked had grey plates but mine was the only blue. So I wanted to double check to make sure my car was perfectly legitimate
