very small weight redux

i dunno if this has been covered but in installing my safc in my glove compartment (yeah i know its the trend but i want to hide it)

don't know if yall know that the freaking glove box is made of mostly metal......i took it off and noticed how heavy this sucker actually was......i would say a good 4-5 lbs cause the glove box is surrounded by metal and then door itself is made of baffled metal.........its insane......what was honda thinking? they barely made a good cup holder but go all out on the glove box? eh just letting yall know if you want you can remove the glove box for small amounts of redux (since its useless for anything else, you don't notice it much being removed because of the design of our dash, or you need it for a stowaway for your electronics )

The design probably has something to do with the fact that it sits adjacent to the air bag.

yeah i was thinking something like that too when i reinstalled the glovebox......since there isn't anything under there....welp since i dremeled about 90% of all the metal on and in the glove box i guess either the airbag will blow right through my safc.....or be lucky and save someone

lol, or you could just keep the glovebox and go on a diet to lose some weight ... why has no one ever suggested that when it comes to making their car lighter?
