Evening Chaps..

I'm from the good old UK and have a BB1 UKDM 2.2vtec Prelude.

I've managed to get hold of what i believe to be a Value Sports lip kit -

Fingers crossed i'll have a VS boot spoiler to go with it too.

Can anyone shed any light on these for me, i don't know much about them or what they are worth etc.

Also i'm trying to get hold of the little VS "emblems" that sit in the recess on the front and rear lip. I've emailed VS in Japan a couple of times but haven't heard back. Anyone have any idea how i can get hold of them?

If its legit that's a pretty rare kit, I'd hold onto it for sure.

Plans are to "blend" it onto the Lude, so i'll be holding on to it for sure!

Are there many replicas about? I've search the net and can't find much at all.

Alright chaps, had the rear bushes done yesterday and geometry all set up, now she's back on rails i'm keen to get the body sorted.

Anyone got any idea about the VS emblems? Any US retailers that may possibly sell them? I've had no luck in the UK.

Value wasnt even sold in the US IIRC.....it was a JDM Source item.

you may want to touch base with ICB Motorsports as they do alot of JDM Imports....or see if Beaty (SN on here) can hook you up....he can find some rare ****

I would think twice about permanently bonding that kit to your car. Reason being, you'll never be able to remove it w/o damaging it. You never know if you'll want to sell it down the road.

Will be "blending" rather than bonding. To be honest, i plan on keeping the car (i've had my Accord for 11 years now and have no plans to get rid of that either). This is the "smooth" look i am aiming for with the Lude.

I think it looks a little too "blocky" if just bolted on -

I'd have them done out of brushed alum, and etched, just to be different, and it'd look pretty trick!

edit: if i remember correctly the spoiler on the white car is the value sports?!?! if so, I say ditch it and stick with stock, its just a little high, and whats with the boxiness of it? IMO doesnt go with the lines of the 4th gen at all.

I've taken the OEM spoiler off today to machine polish the boot (trunk

) and now i'm in three minds with the rear!

1. OEM, just get the pitting sorted in the paint
2. Smooooth, go spoilerless
3. VS Spoiler - to be fair i think the picture of the white Lude makes the VS spoiler look well high due to the angle it was taken, on these pics it looks fine to me -

At least $600-$800, the sides are the nicest ones available for the 4th gen, I plan on mixing them with my azect rears and hopefully if I can find a JUN front spoiler. I doubt you'll ever hear back from value sports, I don't think they even exist anymore.

btw, Keep the stock spoiler, even though the value sports one completes the kit it looks too angular for the prelude rather than the "smooth" you want.

I've picked up the spoiler now. The plan, if i can do it, is to attach bolts to the VS boot spoiler and use the OEM holes in the boot. Then i can swap between the two until i work which one i am most happy with. I'll have to see if the body shop can do it though.

Unless of course someone fancies sending me a Mugen boot spoiler

She's getting there....

The front went on OK, but the sides and rear have been a bit of a pain, needing cutting, twisting, trimming etc. Hopefully won't be much longer now until she is all finished.

Value sports is awesome! I have the side skirts from their type 2 kit. They are a small company though, so no mass production. Ignore the rash !

I live in Canada, and it cost me $1100 to have just the side skirts shipped here, I would guess your whole kit would be about 1500-2000
