VAFC 'write up'

I never could find a write up on installing a VAFC on a 4th gen, so I decided to write one. I hope that this helps some people. It’s mostly just colors and simple instruction. For a more detailed wiring diagram (page 11) and ECU wire pin location chart (page 16) go to Apexi’s site and load the manual on adobe.

From the 26 pin (26p) connector…
-VTEC Signal: Green/yellow (cut; from ECU/pink, other/purple)
-RPM Signal: Yellow/green (splice; green)
-IG Power: Yellow/black (splice; red and orange)**
-Ground: Black/red (splice; brown and black…make sure brown is closer to the ECU)**

From the 16 pin (16p) connector…
-Nothing is used

From the 22pin (22p) connector…
-VTM Signal: light blue (cut; from ECU/blue, other/NONE)
-Throttle Signal: Red/black (splice; grey)
-Pressure Signal: White/blue (cut; from ECU/yellow, other/white)

**When splicing in 2 wires, make sure to splice the 2 wires in on 2 separate spots

I finally got my VAFC up and running and its working great!

If you have any questions on install or this “write up don’t be afraid to PM or IM me @ CrazieLude on AIM.

From the 26 pin (26p) connector…
-VTEC Signal: Green/yellow(this color is the wire on the ECU) (cut; the wire from the ECU connects with the pink wire from the VAFC, the other end of the orignal wire connects with the purple wire from the VAFC)
-RPM Signal: Yellow/green (splice; green from VAFC)
-IG Power: Yellow/black (splice; red and orange from VAFC)**
-Ground: Black/red (splice; brown and black…make sure brown is closer to the ECU)**

From the 16 pin (16p) connector…
-Nothing is used

From the 22pin (22p) connector…
-VTM Signal: light blue (cut; the wire from the ECU connects with the blue wire from VAFC, the other end of the orignal wire connects to nothing)
-Throttle Signal: Red/black (splice; grey from VAFC)
-Pressure Signal: White/blue (cut; the wire from the ECU connects to the yellow wire from the VAFC, the other end of the orignal wire connects to the white wire from the VAFC)

ok I added some more info.

bsi, is that what you were wanting to know?
