V-AFC arrived some more questions

Well got the unit in the mail yesterday.. looks awesome and is smalLEr then I though it was going to be... which is a good thing.. cause it wiLL fit niceLy where my ashtray sits now... cool..

QUESTIONS:
1st about the unit..

In the section callEd Throttle Type setting, what exactlY is going on here?

It says to select the number of cyLinders.. which I understand
Then the next step is ThrottLE Sensor Setting and you can choose either an arrow pointing up diagonally...or pointing down diagonalLy..

It says if throttLE is fully closed 0V~1V
if throttlE is wide open 3V~5V
This is right next to the up diagonaL arrow
then it says
if throttLe is fully closed 3V~5V
if throttle is fulLy open 0V~1V

What is going on here??? whuch setting do I want?? I have NT hooked the unit up yet, but I am trying to be as well prepared as possible.....

Okay and now and instalL Question..
Took the unit and my car to the shop that is going to be handling the instaLl... it looks Like it is gonna fit PERFECTLY where the ashtray is... ANYWAY.. he goes on to asK me if I know all the risks invoLved with this unit.. SO I telL him that I know that it is NOT a good idea to set the VTEC X-over too Low.. I said I wouLd Likely have it set around 4700.. He then procedes to tell me that chaning the cross-over point at all is not a good idea.. He says that even thought the V-AFC is making the car go into VTEC ay 4700 the ECU does not think that VTEC is engaged until it reaches the STOCK RPM where it engages.. He then said that because of this the fueL mapping wouLd not be adjusted for VTEC at 4700 and that it was likely that I woulD get hesitation or bogging?? what the heLL is this all about... I am having the car dyno tuned with a wideband so I should see if there is any dip.. but has anyone heard of this??

Thanks.
andres
