URGENT question on BRAKE ROTOR UPGRADE!!

My car is in the shop, awaiting the brake rotor & VTEC caliper upgrade. I need to know what needs to be done to the dust shield behind the rotor--the bigger VTEC rotors hit the dust shield, even after it was bent back. What should I do??? Can it safely be taken off & left off??? PLEASE HELP!!!

yeah it can be taken off. If you want to pull the hub, you will see the screws holding it on. If you choose not to pull the hub, you can grind the heads of the screws off. good luck.

You could remove the dust sheild completely off like loud lude had mentioned. Your wheels will have more brake dust than usual. Just make sure you wash them so the dust won't bake into your wheels
