They are inserts, they fit in just like you said. Place of the old black rubber that is there already.

if you are talking about ES motor mount inserts,
they don't go in place of the black rubber ones, they are inserted into the stock mounts to fill in the gaps
so, dont go scraping the black rubber off..

yes they fill in the gaps. they are "inserts" you INSERT them into the holes of the stock mounts.

its like if you filled in the holes of swiss cheese

the front mount is supposed to be easy... the rear one is the pain.

rear mount shouldn't be tooooooo tough if you remove the throttle body (4 bolts). It just takes some manuvering and a lot of extensions on your rachet.

REMOVING the throttle body? any other way? would it be easier if i did it at the same time as my header install? (just an idea...)

Like I said, its like 4 bolts and maybe a few hoses. 10 minute job.

after I locked his first thread (Urethane Motor Mounts) and directed him to no less than 6 previous posts about the ES inserts, I'd say he was lucky I didn't lock this thread when he posted it less than an hour later.

okay, i see how it is....the throttle body just sounds a lot scarier than it really is i am guessing. I will do it sometime - after the cruise on Voyager of the Seas. Oh, is that a good ship to go on?
