Upper ball Joints?

Ok, well I went in today to get an alignment and turns out that both of my front ball joints have a good amount of play. So I was told it would be kind of pointless to get an alignment while the front ball joints are as messed up as they are. I've driven around and checked out some other quotes and didn't find anything less than $550 for the front two ball joints since I can't seem to find just ball joints; rather other places are just offering a control arm.

My question is, I have been searching ebay and wanted to know if I should just pick up something like this and swap it out?

Or am I better off trying SPC Performance Extreme Series Ball Joints?

Any feedback is appreciated, Thank you!

Well I know that honda doesn't sell the ball joints with out the arm. I don't know how well the one on ebay is engineered so I can't really say go for those or not. They're only 52 bux for a side so a little over 100 bux for both driver and passenger sides. I think a good route would to see if you can get a camber kit ball joint that's adjustable from 0 to whatever and just leave it at zero or just correct the camber a little bit if you're lowered to save life on your tires. Thats going to be the more expensive route though. If you go that way I would get it with rubber bushings, the polys make too much noise. I have poly bushings on my front and I thought I'd get used to the noise but it still bugs me.

I'm running around on an eBay upper arm/ball joint on one side. My joint had play on it and I was too lazy to buy a quality joint and press it out. It's been a bit over a year, not sure how many miles and they're holding up fine. They're cheap and easy to replace. I'm gonna continue buying eBay ball joints and replace it every couple of years, whether or not it is bad, just to be safe. I don't see how the stuff you buy at Pepboys/Autozone would be any better than the eBay stuff.
