Hey guys I've decided it's about time to replace my stock shocks. The front driver side one is even blown and I travel a lot so I'm having to fight the swerving to the right the entire trip.
I'm thinking of going with Tokico Illuminas but as far as the springs right now I have some cheap 70$ ones I got off ebay. My current suspension is so stiff going up my driveway at a certain angle I can get up on 3 wheels HAHA.

You get what you pay for.
Anyway, I would like my ride height to be adjustable, but not if it means sacrificing the smoothness of the ride. So should I go with Tokico Illuminas w/ the springs that come with them (1.5" drop), or should I go with ground control coilovers? My ride height is of major concern to me because I dont want to be bottoming out (i have a body kit), but I also dont want much wheel gap. Anyone got pics of what a 1.5" drop looks like, will that suit me?
One more concern I have is if I'm short on cash after I get the Tokico illuminas, will they be OK with the cheap ebay coilovers? I wouldnt want to damage the Tokico's or anything.

Stupid ebay coilovers. The only way I'll stick with the ebay coilovers is if I decide whether to go with the springs that come with the Illuminas or just get the shocks alone and go with ground control coilovers. If I went with the Illumina shocks and GC's it would be about 190$ (including shipping) more than going with the Illumina shocks and 1.5" springs.
I'm just tired of my crappy rough ride, feeling every single bump and what not. The ride is hard to explain but I've never riden in a car with a worse ride than mine. It's pretty bouncy, yet so stiff that I feel the bumps and it's really noisy as far as the dash goes and what not (if that makes any sense). It feels like when I go over bumps with the roughness it's hurting my poor lude, and all the vibrations probably is causing stuff to get loose, causing some damage in the long run. Not to mention when going up the driveway and getting up on the 3 wheels..hearing the car flex like it wants to break or something.
So what do you guys think? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
