Update on Tein

I just got word that the new Tein Basic Dampers have been scheduled for release near the end of April. Probably around the 20th or so. The cost on them is still 750. I will pick up a set as soon as they come out, and I will write a review on them.

On another note, there is a new company coming out with a full coilover set for around 750. I am not sure of the name, but the company uses tokico shocks. I will update on more info in the next few weeks.

I would love the basic coilovers if they added at least some sort of dampening adjustability.

you are refering to hayame coilovers. they will be using tokico shocks so if they ever need rebuilding you can just send out to tokico.

The shocks them selves are not adjustable. But the good thing is that you can adjust teh pirches(?) like the koni to raise or lower along with the coilover themselves.

The hayame coilovers arent going to be released for a while so i wouldnt hold my breath for them

We are talking about the Tein Basic Damper's... The Hayame's sounds ok, but personally I would never put Hayame stuff on my Lude, since they are a generic product company like Matrix, APC, and Ractive.

I think the Teins will work great for daily driving. If I was into racing, I would float the extra cash for the SS.

I will also find out the name of the other company next weekend when I get some work done on my car.

If youre already paying $750 for the Basics, why not shell out another $100 or whatever for the SS?

You said the Basics arent even dampening adjustable?

I have been told that the Basics will have adjustable dampenings. It just wont have 16 settings like the SS, maybe like 8 or so.

According to Tein's advertisements... the Basic's will have no dampening adjustability.
