Unknown Noise?!?!

Recently my car has been making a noise when I begin to accelerate. Its almost like something is not oiled properly. Its a metal against metal sound. I cant think of something to compare it to. Like a rusty unoiled metal against metal sound. Kind of like an old gate hinge that needs oiling sound. It only happens when I begin to accelerate from a stop.

Any ideas of what moving parts could be causing this? I'm basically guessing that whatever is rubbing is probably always rubbing but only makes noise at that certain speed, and thats not good....

Maybe time to replace your CV boots/joints. If the boots tear, then the grease flies out, and you'll have not enough grease to keep things happy.
